Junction box plays an important role in a PV module by housing electric bits of solar panels and protecting them from environment. With bypass diodes inside the junction box, it keeps electric flowing in one direction and prevent it feeding back to PV modules. A reliable junction box minimizes corrosion at terminals by preventing moisture penetration. Most module suppliers in the market are providing solar panels with IP65/IP67.
